'NOSTALGIA' COLLECTION LOOKBOOK
These photographs were generated from a MRE (Memory Recall Extraction) machine which started generating output errors when processing memories bits with heightened moments of emotion. The machine takes data fragments from memory bits and pieces them together to produce photo-realistic renderings of past moments and feelings.
Often times, MRE machines experience output errors when there is difficulty processing, capturing, or retrieving memory bytes – particularly memories with strong emotional ties to them. If the memory bytes are saturated with too much emotion, often, the MRE machine fuses together certain elements to compensate for missing objects, resulting in distorted or exaggerated portraits.
Memory bits are fragments of feelings – incomplete, imperfect, and immaterial moments processed and stored as capsules of information. When a memory bit is recalled with feverish longing, that memory is recalled with a strength we call "Nostalgia."
